This class includes 5 2hour pool sessions. Students are expected to purchase their
own mask, snorkel, fins and boots, at least before open water certification dives.
This is mainly due to fit and comfort. The training staff will be glad to assist and
also point you towards discounted gear. The use of regulators, buoyancy compensator (BCD),
tanks and weights (and wetsuits when necessary) are included in the price of the class.
This class only covers the 10 hours of required pool instruction.
Four open water dives are required and there is an academic portion to the course which is $180 to become PADI certified.
Certification as a PADI Open Water Diver is a lifetime certification.
