This certification course provides participants with the confidence and skills to care for youngsters. Prospective employers will be happy to hire babysitters who have acquired this official recognition. During the course you will develop a resume, practice interviewing, practice diaper changing, feeding, holding and caring for infants and children. Participants will also learn some first aid, other life-saving skills and much, much more.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive an ARC Certification Card that does NOT expire and child care concepts.
You must attend the entire course, pass the evaluations, and show the maturity to properly care for children.
Please bring a lunch, snack, note pad, and pencil. (participants must be 11 by the course date)
Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

American Red Cross babysitting and child care courses can help you provide quality care to children of all ages. Developed by experts in the industry, our online and in-person courses are available to those ages 11 and older, and include topics such as choosing age-appropriate activities, basic child care, like bottle feeding, child behavior, leadership, professionalism, safety, starting a babysitting business, and more.
Please note: Red Cross child care classes are not intended for those seeking certification for state-licensed child care providers and does not meet all state requirements for such certification.
